We've long had a problem with a neighbours cat. If our cat goes into our
garden there's a good chance it'll get attacked by the neighbours cat.
However, the other day I saw our neighbours cat rolling around in the middle
of the pavement next to our cat in an almost playful manner! What was that
all about? I thought they hated each other?

Thanks

It was rolling on the pavement, because cats like to roll in the sun like
this.  No doubt since it was rolling near your cat, it was feeling a bit
playful and was maybe trying to entice your cat over, by acting relaxed like
this.

Which sex are the cats and have either or both been neutered?  If not, this could have been an
invitation to "play".  MLB

if the neighbors cat doesn't like your cat maybe it was trying to lure it
into traffic to play!!

Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get
used to the idea.

I don't know if I ever mentioned that I run a ticket office at a big
university.  Tomorrow we have a concert sale and I'll be getting some
tickets to give away at our annual "welcome back to school big doo dah."
This year I've decided to give people the opportunity to get two chances
at winning the concert tickets if they bring in either a can of food for
the DC Food Bank or Alley Cat Rescue!  I'm so excited!

Thanks ;)  You know, I've been feeling kind of bad that I haven't been
able to make even the small cash contributions that I usually do lately
(vet bills...aargh!), and have been trying to think of some other ways
that I might be able to help out.  This'll get alot of people helping
out...I hope!

You are helping your babies who need you. That is the most important thing.

*sigh*  Don't you just wish you could take them all home? :)
