Because of you crazy lot in this newsgroup I might be getting a second cat
as a companion for Micky and myself. :-) You keep saying that two cats are
better than one, don't you?
OK I'm crazy too. There was a female in the paper today, a tux like Micky,
well, and Minnie is missing anyway. I will have a look at the cat on
Sunday, and it's a mutual agreement that for two weeks I get the cat on a
trial basis because it has to work for everyone - Minnie, Micky, dog and the
family.
After I've settled down a bit I have worked out that the food cost is the
same for two cats as it is for one: a 100g tin is -.45 here, a 400g tin
is -.65 and lasts for two days for two cats. So I actually save 4.10 which
is what I have to use extra for dry food. I will be getting the cat free
because it's one from a neutering programme. So all that remains are the vet
costs. If I bring in two cats at the same time it's still one session for
the vet, isn't it (or not?).
Well, another thought is that I will be moving into an area where cats can't
go out. So it's good to get a mate for Micky now. But I have to admit ... I
didn't ask the dog yet ...

One lady plus one gentleman kitty equals oodles of little charmers.
Go for the gal.

> There was a female in the paper today, a tux like Micky,
I had a look at the cat today. It seems all fine, the cat is shy but gentle.
I want a companion for Micky now that both of them are young so that they
get used to each other because I may be moving into my mother's house in
years to come. There I would want to keep them indoors because a busy road
and train are nearby. When I told that to the lady she nearly had a fit and
said she would think about it again. Here it's strong thinking that cats
belong outside! She didn't like my ideas at all. She said that you can't let
a cat go outside after years of roaming free. I didn't agree, then she said
that if the cat wants to go near the busy road then it's its own decision.
Of course I can't accept that, but I kept it to myself. Cat was very cuddly
with me, so she takes it to the vet tomorrow for a check and brings it to me
afterwards. I promised to take it for walks on the lead, that eased her
mind. Of course nobody knows if cats will walk with a harness then.
Do _you_ think it's impossible to keep a 10 year old cat inside after years
of freedom outside?
The cat is a tuxedo with a black nose. She said that this may be cause for
cancer in years to come. Any opinions on this?
Have you got any nice female cat names with "M"?
