My 1 1/2 year old cat was acquired 4 months ago. She begs for treats,
a once a day thing, constantly and once in a while, when she does not
get something, she will pee on the furniture.
Is there anything to stop this behavior?

I'd stop giving treats. They're usually full of sugar anyway.
Start giving ordinary dry nibble and it will gradually stop.
