Greetings all,
I don't think I have ever posted to this newsgroup before. About an
hour ago I found my cat dead in the neighbors yard. He had been
missing since Wednesday. It's obvious he got hit by a car because of
the black mark on the side of his body. His body looked good for the
most part. No blood or visible wounds.
I'm trying to figure out when he died. When I found his body I was
surprised to see there were no signs of decomposition though his body
was very stiff. Does anyone here know how long it takes for a cat's
corpse to begin to decompose? I know this is a creepy topic to bring
up but I just want to know for my own piece of mind.
Rest in peace, Snickers. I love you and I will miss you.

Depends--what is the weather like--hot and humid or cold and dry?

The weather as of late has been around 70 degrees farenheit during the
day and around 60 degrees at night. It hasn't been humid but it
normally is.
