As dumb as the titls sounds, that's what I seem to be finding on my
cats skin. Small protusions have appeared on his skin. One is on his
chest and the other on his chin. They stick out approx 1/8 of an inch
and if you touch them, they seem to open and get wet. Any idea what
this might be?

Hmmm....that is odd.  My cat got black heads on her chin from bacteria in
her plastic food and water dishes.  The vet had me use stridex (sensitive
skin kind) and antibiotic ointment for that.  I also switched to ceramic
bowls.  But actual pimples?  That may be a more severe case.  Definitely
check with your vet.  I can see it being a more severe case than black heads
and actually being pimples on the cat's chin, but I'm not so sure about the
chest.  If they're bursting open, there is always a chance of infection.
Call the vet.  Pimples may not actually be that odd since they can get
blackheads....but ask the vet:)

my cat got actual pimples on her chin, they were from using plastic food
bowls

I'm not sure if using the word "pimple" is correct. It was the first
word that came to my head. These "protusions" are almost like a thick
hair, or a thin wire, if that helps. I only found 2 but he has long fur
and no doubt has more. Needless to say he is not the best patient. LOL

take your cat to the vet and have them look at if it you are concerned

Yeah, that sounds like my cat's acne on her chin.  I took her to the vet and
he confirmed it, for free.  Just take your little one in to check and then
it's as simple and using ceramic or stainless steel bowls and using stridex
pads and antibiotic ointment for a week or so to get rid of it.  My cat
hasn't had it since.

What type of plates/bowls do you use for food and water?  If they are
plastic, that could be the culprit.  Many cats develop chin acne from
plastic eating containers.  Change to ceramic or stainless steel, and clean
them often.  It's also a good idea to use containers that are wide enough so
the cat's whiskers do not have to touch the sides (for your cat's comfort,
not related to acne).

could be a scratch from another cat; a puncture that is (slightly)
infected....normal; try squeezing it like a pimple.  If it goes on for
awhile consider the vet.
