Ok, so my cat is very vocal when she wants food.  If you've read some other
posts of mine, you know she's on a diet.  Lately, she's taken to staring at
me instead of the usual pawing and meowing.  She just sits by me or sits on
the floor and stares until I move to get up and cave into her stares.  I
give her some tuna juice or a little bit of tuna, she is on a diet after
all!  She loves tuna and so I sometimes pour some of the juice over her food
or on a plate or mix just a little with her food.  But anyway....she sits by
me for several minutes and just stares.  Sometimes I look at her and stare
back and she just sits there staring! It cracks me up!  Then when I make any
move at all, even if it's just crossing my legs, she makes a mad dash to the
kitchen, scratches on her scratching post, and waits by her food dish.  So,
that's just too cute to ignore and I gotta give her something for her
effort.  Anyone else have a staring cat?

She ain't staring she is waiting you move she goes for the food dish and you
cave in and give her something  she is training you and watching to see if
it works  which it is

I have a fat cat that does the same thing stares at me if I am near the frig
or buy the pantry if I rustle plastic he comes running the others  know
better until I tap the can then they come

>She just sits there.  It's not just when I'm near her food.
