I just watch a show about the jack jumper ant and how dangerous it is to
people and pets  one bite can kill you from anafle'tic ( ??? ) shock.  They
are testing a vaccine right now over there they said it works

i am in australia.

where are you located nmr?
fire ants are all over the usa, i believe. dunno which idiot brought
them to australia!

i haven't heard of anyone or any pet being killed by them.

anaphylactic shock can kill you if you're allergic to peanuts too.

this website seems to have all the info:

usually these ants just make you swell up, and most pets aren't affected by
them. if you're allergic however, they can kill you. Fortunately they aren't
too widespread!!

I am in the US Orlando, Florida   I was just wondering I saw that show about
the native jack jumper ant that could kills humans over there and was just
amazed on how aggressive it is.  Fire ants are a major problems here
probably 100 people die ever summer from them from a allergic reaction
specially young children

well i've learned something ... i think this is the creature we know
colloquially as a bull ant.
i've not seen many, or heard of any attacks, but i'll be watching out
for them now!
along with the red bellied black snake, the brown snake, the redback
spider, the funnelweb spider, crocodiles, sharks ......
and volvo drivers.

The jumping ant is not actually the bull-ant, although it's similar. They
look identical to the bull-ant, only smaller, and they jump; quite high for
an ant. They also tend to rove a little less than bull ants, so you're more
likely to get attacked by a couple than have one walk up your pants leg
unexpectedly! Ow!!
