How do you take an urine sample from a cat?

Today the local shelter is having celebrations.
I went and got to talk to a competent lady.

She said to take a urine sample from a cat you just put tissue into the
litter box and then wring it out.
Any other ideas?

She also recommended to put a few drops of cat mint oil into the litter box
if the cat's not so clean.
I'll try that out. Probably they'll queue now to get into the box and roll
around in it LOL.

Yep.
If you have two litter boxes that fit inside each-other, you simply drill
holes in the top one.
Then if you put a small handful of kitty litter pellets (like the ones made
from Lucerne/alfalfa) in, you will be able to collect the sample underneath.
