Our 4 month old Elia who was born in our house and who was the first one to
use the litter box when only a few weeks old has decided to use the living
room instead now. Why? Of course I was smart enough to close the door after
he did it a few times - now he goes just in front of the door. Why? The
litter is clean, I have two boxes for three cats, I have put
"kitten-attract-powder" unto the litter and "no-pipi" where he goes in the
livingroom. He can't be sick, he's just after seeing the vet, but it
*stinks* and I don't know what to do ...

Have you moved the box he usually uses?  Is it in a high traffic area or a noisy area ?
Does he do it every time he has to go ?  When cleaning the litter do you clean the box
(Wash it) ?  After a while the plastic of the box can hold smells.  Our Prancer would not
go unless he was all alone and would not be bothered and even then he would poop right in
front of the door on occasion.  We finally got a bigger box for him  (Area wise - not
height wise) and made sure it was ALWAYS clean and it a low traffic area and he finally
started using it again.

If nothing has changed then I would say it is time to see a vet.

No, now I have put it in front of the door of the living room which is
*always* closed now.

Not at all, he usually goes at times when nobody sees him, at night,
otherwise I'd scare him ;-|

If the door's open - yes! It seems to be his toilet room.

Yes.

: After a while the plastic of the box can hold smells.

It's nearly new.

Interesting enough one of his brothers whom we have given away does exactly
the same thing after he was fine there for a month.
Either they did not learn properly from their mom, or could it already have
to do with marking?

What could it be if I did need to see the vet?
Off I go to consult the cat books, I've never experienced this before
<grumble> ... <sigh>.
