Hey,
I'm new to this forum and need some help!
I have a small cat with is 1year and a half old. It's a female cat and is
not neutered.. I think this is cruel. I always escort her when she goes
outside just in cat and horny cat would show up! : )
All of a sudden, she started peeing everywhere in the house.. and I really
mean everywhere! On pillows, on table, in corners, on sofa. She almost
ruined every piece of furniture we have here. My parents are now very angry
and want to get rid of this cat. She even do this right in our face...
that's very weird.
Any idea?
Please help!

Could be one of two things:
She's marking her territory. If you have her fixed, she will eventually
stop - once all the hormones leave her system *AND* you have cleaned
everywhere she's peed with an enzmatic cleaner (follow the instructions)..
-or-
She has a urinary tract infection. Get the cat to a vet. If there's no
infection, get her spayed!
It's not "cruel" to get a cat neutered. It saves her from going into heat
repeatedly, with no mate - *that's* cruel, sheer torture for her. She can
also get a Pyometra (sp?), or infection of the uterus, which is cuased by
going into heat repeatedly (I think), and can be deadly, also mamory cancer
(a version of breast cancer) which can spread to other areas. I wish I had
all the web sites so that I can point you to them, but they explain all the
benefits of spaying/neutering your cat/dog - beside the obvious one of *no
unwanted litters*.

I would guess a bladder infection. You need to get this problem corrected
as soon as possible, because she will develop the bad habit of thinking that
it is OK to pee everywhere. It may already be too late.

I would definitely agree it sounds like a UTI. I worry more about it moving
up into her kidneys and causing kidney failure though, than her developing a
bad habit. Get her to the vet asap!
