Ok, I know this is a gross topic but I really need some advice, our
veterinarian is closed and I called the emergency one and they weren't that
helpful and just said take him to our vet in the morning.

My 14 week old kitten is leaking out a watery liquid, filled with gritty
feces... it has the most horrid smell to it also - so from what I've read
online it's his "anal sacs" which need emptying because they've been
impacted... which has caused his glands to weaken, and watery feces to leak
out, or at least that's my understanding.

He is still eating and drinking water, but he seems very irritated (which I
can't blame him). His anus is extremely red, irritated and swollen, and when
you lift his tail up to try and clean him more feces and watery liquid just
keep leaking out all over him, and the floor. (he will NOT get into his
littter box either)!

He is currently in our bathroom, with his food/water and kitty litter. Our
house is a MESS, and he is leaking out A LOT of feces all over the bathroom,
we've cleaned him up like 10 times already, and it more just keeps leaking
out (tons of it), all over himself, and the bathroom floor. The vet says
there's not much we can do but wait until the morning... but I'm wondering
if we should bring him down now as his anal sacs might break, and then he
might require surgery?

Is there anything I can do in the meantime to help him so he feels more
comfortable? Will he be alright until the morning when we take him to the
vet? (We don't have a car at the moment or public transit available to take
him to the emergency vet...)

Any advice is appreciated,
Sarah Lee & her kitten "Poop Nugget".

Feline Anal problems can be rather complicated. For now if she is making a
mess of your house, I would put diapers on her. I had a similar problem with
my kitten opening and shutting constantly and a fluid was leaking out. I
read a article online and tried it. Gently inserted your pinky ( where a
glove ) use Vaseline and gently and slowly insert your finger in the rectum,
then gently massage the anus. You will feel the gland ( be gentle ) the cat
mite growl a bit. I would recommend a friend or your husband restraining the
cat while this is done. Do it for about 3 minutes. Don't go in deep as you
can damage the prostate, you will feel the sphincter tightening up, make
sure you pull out slowly ( as I am also gay btw and I know this from
personal experience, that it can hurt if you pull out to fast )  (this is as
far as you want to go)  Warning - the smell will be putrid so I suggest a
surgical mask or a close pin on your nose. It just like a humans anus. When
me and my lover have anal sex we use surgical masks and find that LYSOL
DISINFECTANT removes the airborne pathogens and horrible post smell. Also
have some wet wipes and a bag on hand for disposal.

Is he pooping ? Do you feel a hard mass in his digestive system ?

He could have an intestinal blockage.

Thanks for everyone's advice, he's doing alright right now...

We emptied his anal sacs, and then took him to the vet for an exam, and to
get some medication for his diarrhea, we also switched him on a different
type of food. Now we just have to work on cleaning up our house, heh.

Thanks again,
Sarah Lee & Poop Nugget.
