I just found quiet a lot of blood on my bathroom floor and carpet, along
with one of my razors...
and it so happens that my kitten somehow knocked it off the counter and
started playing with it, or something. Anyway, i checked him out, and one of
his paws is a little cut up, not a big cut, like the size of half your pinky
nail. He seems to be limping a little itty bit but nothing too bad. Should i
put anything on it? Or do anything, or just keep a watch on him..... Like,
could it get infected easily since he's walking around and going in his
kitty litter and such?
Any advice would be appreciated,
Sarah

Maybe take him to the vet to have it cleaned, and perhaps dressed? I might
imagine that Cat Litter if dirty could infect the cut? Im no expert, but I
would suggest a quick visit to the visit.

My suggestions to you is to get your baby to the vet., at once, and
have him checked thoroughly and medicated, if necessary.

Rinse the paw in water then put a little triple antibiotic ointment on it
just like you would your own cut. Repeat ocasionally until it scabs over.
It wasn't glass so there probably isn't anything inside the cat didn't lick
out already. Forget any kind of band aid, hopefully the kitten has learned
his lesson You wouldn't run to the doctor if you had a bo bo would you? A
vet is overkill unless it is still bleeding and will not stop.

Yes I would take it to a vet. For one cats start off with very
little blood (1/2 pint?) so they can't afford to loose very much.
Humans have 8 pints of blood, they whether a little blood loss.
I'd be leary about testing how far a cat can go with any blood
loss. I'jm not an expert on blood in cats which is why I would
bring to a vet to have it checeked.
Better to be safe than sorry.
