Dear Best Friends Network Member,        Cats in Need, a rescue group
located in the Riverside area is looking for placement assistance with a
handicapped kitten who was abandoned as an infant at their
adoption show.        Noah is an adorable four-month-old little orange
tabby Manx who was born with Spina Bifida (see
       attached picture).
http://www.mary.cc/images/noah.jpg Cats in Need paid for surgery to close the
opening in his spinal area. Although he now
runs and plays like a normal kitten, he has not been able to
re-gain bowel or bladder control.        His current foster mom is
scheduled for gall bladder surgery in six weeks, and she will no longer be able

to provide the care he needs.        Noah is a bright,
active, playful, loving little boy, but he requires the following daily care:
       * Diaper changes approximately four times a day        *
Medication three times a day        * Special diet (Prescription ID)
In exchange, Noah promises to provide hours of entertainment and
affection for you and any other
resident kittens, and TOTAL compliance with all diaper changes and
medications. (His foster mom says
he’s the most compliant kitten she’s ever handled.)
Cats in Need would greatly welcome assistance with any of the
following:        * Foster care for Noah        * Any creative,
innovative, untried ideas for finding that very special, permanent home for
Noah        If you can assist this group in any way, please contact Chris
at (562) 972-3737, or Linette at
LLVelker@worldnet.att.net.        Thank you for taking care
of animals in your community, and for participating in the Best Friends
Network.        Sincerely,        Kelly Koeller

I truly hope someone will adopt and love that little Sweetheart. I'm too
far away, and I have nine babies, all strays, that I gave homes to. And
I"m still trying to get a another little guy into the house during a
miserable New England winter. But Noah is an absolutely adorable little
boy. Please, someone take up this challenge. I know he'll love you for
it. My prayers are with the little guy.
Rick and
Minnie, Daisy, Sandy, Eddie, Brandy, Cassie, Lily, Rusty, Martha and
hopefully Cubby.
