Most of you regulars probably know that I'm new here and just getting
the hang of replying in the right place.
It's been fun reading some of the old posts and adding my 10c.

Some of you may have noticed that I was talking about my pal Biggles who
died in Nov. www.1cooperfamily.com The family and I are anxious now to
get another cat, but in the meantime I have the memories of Biggs to
fall back on.

A couple of things he used to do for attention:

Lie on his back and roll around ...or just lie there like that. He new
he would get some kind of attention.

Any time he was out of food he would nibble on the nearest plant ...
didn't matter what it was. He new he wasn't supposed to do that.

I'm sure you folks can come up with lots of your own experiences.

Have fun,
Bill

My cat's chew my plants too, (always make sure I buy one's that won't harm
them), so the ones by my fireplace have now been replaced 11 times!  I'd not
bother having them there, which I tried but then they started to chew
cusions so now I've relented and buy them the damn plants!

lol, Biggles had cat grass too which he ate but the plant chewing was
definitely to get a response.
I had another cat who would chew the corners off plastic bags. She
didn't eat them but you couldn't leave a bag lying around if you wanted
to use it again.

I invested in a 4foot high cat stratching post at the weekend with different
height platforms and a furry tunnel and fastened cat nip toys all over so
they dangle in different heights.  My last attempt to save the plants!  Only
problem is now they dive bomb my Border Collie from 4foot up, then hide
behind the damn plants so they still taking a battering!

I give up!!!!!! I gonna buy plastic! lol

I just remembered something Biggles used to do. I would be deep in a
chess game with a friend and who should come stepping on the chessboard
but my old buddy Biggs.
One cannot rush a cat in this situation.
