Sorry to bug w/another question. But re: Chipper with the supposed
respiratory infection. We are trying to think of something he could have
gotten into in the house, we found some latex paint chips by the basement
stairs. Hubby say latex paint should not hurt him.
Also, I switched a few days ago to styrofoam bowls instead of paper to feed
them. Think he could be allergic to that? Tomorrow at 9:00 can't come soon
enough!

You shouldn't use any kind of plastic bowls for cats: they ingest bits
of plastic scraped off with their raspy tongues. Ceramic and
stainless steel work best.

Thanks Ted, I changed them this morning to our little salad bowls.
Chipper went to vet & they took xray. Found nothing but he did have fever of
103, normal is around 101. Eye infection is better but I'm to finish off
infection pills. She said he has fallen or something, his back is very
tender & he must have a soft tissue injury. She gave him steroid pills for
that and after just one he seems better. He isn't running from me when I get
near him now. If not better by Monday, I take him back. Thanks for your
advice!

One of mine fell last week from just below the ceiling. He hit his
head on a table and since then his left eye doesn't dilate properly.
The vet says he's gotten better, but I can't see the difference. Fall
can cause all sorts of damage: cats don't always land lightly on their
feet.

I hope your cat recovers fully. Chipper is doing much better tonight. It's
strange thinking of cats hurting themselves by falling. I know they don't
always land on their feet, but they are so graceful you don't think they
will fall.

Feed the pussy oil based paint. But heads up...he'll be able to sh.t
through a screen door aka Hershey squirts.

Your obituary can't come soon enough.
