My cat "Suki" has been diagnosed with Hyperthyroidism.
They quoted me a cost of 1,200.00 for treatment. I cannot afford this
amount. The treatment will be done at "another" location and my doctor
didn't know if any arraignments could be worked out on the cost.
Any thoughts, advice, suggestions? I love my gal and would do anything
for her.

Sounds like the radioactive iodine treatment.  I consider that the best and
had it done on one of my cats.  The alternatives are surgery or pills
(something like trapozal).  Before surgery or iodine treatment you  have to
be sure he does not a kidney problems since the hypoth.. can mask the kidney
problem which then comes out when the hypot.. problem is resolved.

Suki at this time is suffering from a bladder/kidney infection. Once
that is healed I will have a second opinion by another vet.

Thanks for the reply!
