Hi,

Can a cat still get pregnant at that age? We're not sure if our cat really
is, but her belly does look a little suspicious at the moment!

She hasn't been given any pills for a couple of years now, since we've been
told it's not possible when a cat reaches an age of ten years old.

In fact she's never had kittens. We certainly aren't planning on keeping any
more, since this one is spoiled enough and a handful. She's also afraid of
our dog so she doesn't leave the house much - although the dog wasn't so
scary when she was looking for tom cats a few weeks ago.

Anyway, thanks for any info.

Who says that? Sounds silly to me!

Then she will have now ...A great experience, you can look forward to it -
and look for places where to place the kittens too!

Your plans will have to be changed now ...

Well ...

: Anyway, thanks for any info.

Get a nicely padded cardboard box ready.
From when she's met the tom to pregnancy it's about 63 days.
Hope the little ones will have a nice colour. My neighbour has a little
black and white domestic longhair <sigh>,
too bad I have enough cats already! This would be exactly what's missing in
my collection ...

Good luck

Pills? Are you saying that you gave her pills to prevent pregnancy?
Where are you?

I suggest taking her to the vet for a check-up to rule out that there isn't
anything else medically going on with her.

I second this thought.  If she is still intact, she could have problems with
her uterus.  All different things can go wrong with them, which is why I
highly recommend they get taken out when they are young... that and the
whole going into heat thing, and the whole overpopulation of cats thing,
