When we got our kitten a few months ago our vet gave us a free bag of Science Diet for kittens. The vet said it was alright if our 2 year old,Jane, ate it but not the senior cat we have. I thought that was a little strange. Anyway, Jane is absolutely addicted to this stuff. Our kitten eats it too but not with as much relish. hehe

I know this stuff is not typically cheap and would like to know where I can get the Science Diet cheaper or at least find a cheap imitation.

It is entirely possible that the senior cat may prefer moist food
because of
dental problems.   (My late 19 year old had that problem).

As far as less expensive, I'd go with the premium foods like
IAMS/Science Diet/etc.
since what you save in the short term with food $$$ you'll end spending
on added
vet bills.

I agree, but none of my cats like science diet.
There are definitely better good value premium foods about. It's worth
shopping around and watching out for offers.
