I've been trying. How do you get a cat to sit still while you apply 10 drops into inner ear?
I've followed directions..10 drops in ear..massage lower ear, let cat shake head...wipe
up rest.
I ended up just having to guess and shot a 10 drop stream into ears and massaged.
3rd of 2 day at a time treatment. After first treatment for ear mites...she shook her head
often. Maybe she did that cause those little vermins don't like it.

Unfortunately Micky had a very bad infection of ear mites.
What I did: I sat on top of him (gently!). This allowed me to have both
hands free. Afterwards he got treats and cuddles. This worked well.

Your vet can give a single dose treatment that seems to work very
well. It's a lot easier on you and the cat.

Don't forget the "apply bandages to all the cat scratches" step. (still
nursing my battle scars) But the cats no longer have ear mites! My SO
used to enjoy watching the cats dance around and shake their heads!
