The reason I picked the kitten up was that it was lying-sleeping beside the
road and I was afaid it would get run over as this is in a country setting.
Also I had seen it earlier in the evening with another same type kitten and I
did not pick it up for this very reason ( that it might belong to someone
else)and I even tried to get it to go in the direction the other one went.
When I saw it again it was 2:30 AM and it was sleeping-laying beside the road.
I fully intend to ask the person who lives near the area I found the kitten
if it belongs to them. This area where I live is populated with strays, barn
cats and feral cats. Oviously this is not a run of the mill stray kitten but
my concern was that it might get hit by a car that early in the morning.
Thanks for everyones input but I do realize it could be someone else's cat
but this is in a very rural setting and no houses are close to the road but
there is one in the general vicinity, additionaly there are few children in
our area and the one house near there has several dogs. But I will make the
utmost attempt to find it's owner for as much as it sounds like I want to
keep it we have four big cats and thee little ones I need to get rid of now.
Anybody want a cat? Larry( PS I really would like to keep it if it does'nt
belong to anyone else. But I need to talk my wife into it).

Why don't you just ask God?

Niel, (and others),
Just because you have a problem with believing in God, does NOT give you
the right to make fun of someone who does. It's not like Larry is trying
to force God down peoples throats or anything. You have your beliefs,
and Larry has his. Let's leave it at that.

This is the part that's unsettling to me. Are the "little ones" kittens
birthed to the "big cats."
You're trying to "get rid" of cats you have already, but want to keep
the beautiful little white kitten?

Sherry,
Larry is saying that he has found the foremention kitten on the side of
the road sleeping. Presently he has adult cats, and three kittens. He is
looking for homes for the three kittens that he already has. He would
like to be able to keep the kitten that he found, providing:
1. He can convince his wife to let him keep it.
&
2. He can NOT find the owner of the kitten.
Hopefully this clears things up for you.

I understand that part. And I'm very glad Larry picked up the kitten-it
surely would not have survived on its own.
I think Larry should keep the kitten -- anyone who would allow a small
kitten to roam isn't a fit owner in the first place and doesn't deserve
it back.
And while I'm on a roll, flame away, but I also think Larry should
spay/neuter *all* of them, so he doesn't have to worry about giving
away kittens again.
