Im taking her to the vets Monday but if any one can tell me if I can do
anything for her....

She has always had a litter tray but never used it... the last couple of
days she has been going to it and sometimes using it sometimes not...

She will go back and forth 20 or so times normally crying as she comes back.

I picked her up and she really yelled...

Its obviously a water infection, constipation or something similar.

She is ok in herself between theses session on the litter tray.

Any one know how I can make her as combatable as possible while she waits to
go to see the vet ?

From what you have told us, I would think that she has either urinary
tract infection/blockage, or she is severely constipated. I would NOT
wait until Monday to take her to the vet, I would get her to an animal
hospital NOW!!!!! If it is in fact a urinary blockage, her bladder could
burst by the time Monday rolls around. If it is a bad case of
constipation, you risk the feces damaging her intestines.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE take her to an emergency hospital NOW!!!

Hi Rick,

She sounds pretty sick. Is there an emergency vet near you? If it is a
urinary infection, it would help her immensely to get her started on
antibiotics today. Sounds like she's really in pain when she tries to
use the litter box.

Let us know what happens,

Rhonda

Good job! Glad you got her in so quickly.

I'm sure that's such a big relief to her.

Hope she's completely better soon.

Sounds serious to me.   Where you are in the UK do you have the option
of
an animal hospital that you could go to today?  If not you may have no
choice to wait for the vet tomorrow.   But I'd take the cat to an
animal hospital if that is an option.   Sounds like it could be
serious.

Have you tried contacting your vet?   Some have provisions set up for
emergencies.

The vet gave her a shoot in the vets and she has perkered up...

she has a week course and I have to take a water sample to them for testing.

I'm sorry to hear about your cat.  My best guess is she has developed
crystals in her urinary tract and is unable to pass urine.  Her bladder is
full and that is why she crys when you pick her up.  She needs vet attention
asap as this can kill her.

Good luck    Helen
