My cat Punky has FIP since July 2004. We treated her with Interferon and
Bach blossoms. Nobody expected that she would live to see Christmas, but now
it is June 2005 and she is still alive.
Does anyone have experience with the treatment of a cat with Interferon???

congratulations on how Punky is doing.  I had a cat die of FIP over a year
ago, and have done laymen's research on it ever since.  I have heard on the
web of vets starting treatment with Interferon before, and having some
success keeping the cats alive.

FIP is still a very hard diagnosis to make, since there arent definitive
tests for it.    The FIP titer test only tests for the corona virus, which
almost every cat has been exposed to at some point.  FIP mutates from it,
and their tests can't tell the difference.  Have you gotten more than one
opinion for Punky?

I had a second opinion for Punky and they came up with the same conclusion.
I know I can not be 100% sure that Punky has FIP, but I am sure that she
would not be alive if I had not given her the Interferon cure. Today Punky
is enjoying the sunshine in our garden. She is weak and she walks like if
she were drunk, but she is enjoying every minute of her live. The only thing
that bothers me is that she is very skinny and she does not put on weight,
even though she eats very well (she likes good food (French cheese, chicken,
salmon, broccoli)).

Our Cinderella is skinny since she had her kittens. I bought her vitamin
tablets - and it works!
And she even likes them! (Yes, there's sugar in them ...).
