What breed is this little kitty?

Was just in my warehouse and when I moved a bag of packing material I got
growled at from underneath it by a little kitty. It didn't run and allowed
me to pick it up. Looking at it I would imagine it's not a general moggie,
the most striking thing are the huge eyes.

I've uploaded a couple of pics to my webspace, would appreciate it if
someone could ID the breed? My first thought is Burmese...

It's coat is spotless but it is a little on the thin side so am not sure if
it owns anyone, certainly not seen anything like it in our village before.

Looks like a regular DSH mackeral tabby to me. Very similar to my
Fray D Puss.

Thanks for taking him/her in. BTW, doesn't look skinny to me so it
might already own someone.

Still, a very beautiful cat.

Not sure it is (I have 3 DSHs myself) as what the photo does not do justice
are the eyes. They take up about half it's face and also bulge out slightly
which is why I thought Burmese along with the facial markings. Also the
'tabby' effect is extremely fine.

It's a Calico burried under a huge snow drift.

The site is loading very slowly on this high speed connection.  The
only thing I get is a white screen.

Looks like a chinchilla.

I'd go for some oriental touch too, probably half Bengal? But is this a
little kitten?
To me it looks like a (nearly) grown up well fed cat that most likely
belongs to someone.

Yes! It's a chinchilla, not a cat at all.

no, it's definitely a cat (from the photos it looks like an adult,
though small); the coat looks sortof like a chinchilla though.

Oops, I guess it *is* a cat...but being a fan of the Viking
Kittens (rathergood.com) it sure does look like that chinchilla in the
"beach musicians "Chilled".....playing its
sax.....Oh, well.
