I have two eighteen month old cats, one boy and one girl that have bonded
and are best of friends, like they are always licking and cleaning each
other. They are a beauty to watch.
Soon a good friend of mine will move in to my house, she has a six month old
tabby, I wonder if the introduction of another cat will be a problem. We
intend to keep the tabby in a separate room for a few weeks so my two cats
can get used to a new cat on their turf. All three cats have been de-sexed.
Does any one think there will be a problem ?
Suggestions and tips most welcome.

Probably not, and the cats will work it all out for themselves.
For years we had just 2 cats, a male and a female. Last fall we added 2
male kittens that are from the same litter. It was only a matter of days
before all were friends. A couple of months ago we added a 6 month old
female. This took a little longer on her part because she had been on the
streets for a while. They all get along quite well, except for the new
female and our oldest female. They tolerate each other nicely.

Good luck. I introduced a new cat almost a year ago and the aggressive one
still attacks the other. I have to keep them separated when I'm unable to
watch them every minute.
