Yesterday I washed my kitchen floor with regular dish soap and my cat came
into the room and proceeded to roll herself all over the floor, like a dog
does in the grass after a bath. Why would she do this? Now I smell the dish
soap on her.

This is her  territory, she is putting her scent back on the newly
cleaned
floor.    She worked hard to put the scent there, you went and
removed that scent.
