This cat was homeless and near death 3 months ago when he came to my
apartment begging for food and my neighbors told me he's been around
for a couple of years. I started feeding him but he never seemed to get
enough food and he turned circles and cried so I thought he was a
little bit insane. He had these white things hanging from his fur
around his butt and a woman told me they were tape worms and gave me a
catalog from Foster & Smith. After a little research I ordered some
PRAZIQUANTEL tape worm medicine and gave him his first dose. About two
hours later he had stopped turning circles and crying and had a look on
his face like something wonderful had happened to him but he didn't
know what it was. Within days he started to gain weight and two weeks
later he got a second dose and now after two months he's almost a
different cat. He's gained a lot of weight and it's muscle not fat. He
seems happy and more people give him food since he looks healthier so
this has shown me that tape worms can be a major health problem.

That's a wonderful and gratifying story.  Good for you!

Too bad you could not find him a good home now.

If the cat would stop peeing on everything it would probably be
adopted.
