I have a cemented down carpet in my basement on which my cat peed. Does
anyone have a sure-fire cure on getting rid of the smell (other than ripping
up the carpet, of course)? I've heard that some types of enzymes will
work - but the ones I've tried have failed. Thanks......

Try out sold at walmart. Thats if you are in the USA. Just poor it on. Soak
up excess later.
Saved carpet that had been peed on by 3 cats for two weeks.

I am sorry, "Out" is an enzyme product that helps remove odors from just
about anything. I have used it in my kennels after cleaning them to remove
the cleaner smells. My dogs and cats seem to like the smell. It works great
on cat odors, I use it in my litter boxes, on my carpet in my wash. anywhere
there is odors you want to go away. The enzymes eat or breakdown the odor
causing bacteria.
