Look, I may be half mad, wrong, delusional...or WHATEVER...but what
exactly is this a photo of???
It's from a mall in BC, Canada...and if it is animal cruelty
related then I have to start asking WHY animal cruelty is out
of control everywhere.
Me?
Whatever I am, or have been is just me...but I'm sick of what's
going on in the world...and I have a pretty good idea *why* and am
learning more all the time.
And you know...everyone is upset about one thing or another...but
cruelty to animals keeps going on...
Why is that?

Looks like a load of toy kitties to me. If you think for one second they are
real cats you are clearly retarded.

You are not delusional or . . . whatever that other person said. If you
focus on the sleeping ones, they look realistic, even to me. If I didn't
have the one from Grandma, or hadn't seen these in smalls shops, I can't say
what reaction I may have had :)

Trevor is quite clear these are toys

They are not real kittens - - made with some kind of furry stuff. I have
seen these in some small shops, they look extremely realistic but are not :)
I was given one for Christmas by my Grandmother many years ago, before I
took up the no-fur stance. (I believe this is rabbit fur, or if synthetic,
appears to be a realistic fur, and dyed for color.)

What is your problem? They are a bunch of TOY kittens. Nothing more,
nothing less. Has the world gotten to the point where we can't even
display toy kittens?

My first inclination is they are not real cats, maybe made of
pottery?
That having been said i'v gotten many cats over the years that
were give aways to anyone who would give the cat a good home.
Where is the cruelty in this picture? I don't see it.

The OP might fear that the cats are made from real cat fur.
I saw them too and asked, the person who sold them said it's rabbit skin.

I saw a show on 20/20 yrs ago, Some of these could possibly be made from
real cat fur. There were some from over-seas that were.

Ugh. I am really glad I did not have lunch yet. In fact, I think I will skip it. I certainly hope the one my Gram gave me ~ 25 years ago is not cat fur . . . :( I don't feel so well.
I have heard about the skins trade in China , I believe it is. Have seen some pretty graphic vids on the PETAtv site, but.....
that would be really sad if they were cat or dog fur. I don't like the idea of rabbit fur, either.

These toy cats may be made of real cat fur. There was some controversy
about that a few years ago and about the circumstances under which the fur
was obtained. That might explain the "animal cruelty" caption.
