ours does she has a basic scratchposts and toysit  protects the furniture
when she attacks it instead

My two use theirs all the time, just make sure that you get one with loop
pile carpet as this really exercises their claws.

We have three 6 foot tall cat trees for our two cats and they love them.
Apart from saving our furniture, it is good exercise for them to jump/climb
to the top, provide the height that cats love and our two love to sleep on
the various levels of hte trees.

If they don't use them at first, rub catnip on them. They'll be all over it.
