I lost my "little darlin" this morning. She was a white cat I named Blanca
which is spanish for white. Her mother was moving her and her sibling when
we found her. We placed her where her mother could find them and although
she came after one she never returned for Blanca. She had the sweetest
disposition and would wake me up in the mornings by sleeping on top of me
or giving me a gentle tap on the nose. In the evening My stomach was her
kneading place. The night my mother passed away she slept right beside my
head and purred all night long. When I would come home she would be
watching out the window for me and really gave me the loving when I came
in. When it was feeding time all the other cats would cry and pester me but
Blanca would sit quitely by her dish until I fed her. This morning she had
some type of siezure and she died in my wife's arm as we were rushing her
to the vet.I am of course heartbroken to say the least, and I'm sure like so
many others who have lost a cat like Blanca no other cat could ever replace
her. We will bury her in a little flower garden next to our house and I
made a donation to a cancer charity in her name. I'm going to miss her so.
Thanks Larry

My commiserations and sorrow for your loss. Blanca sounded like a great
friend, intelligent and loving. Impossible to 'replace' and sorely missed.

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. If it's any consolation at all then
perhaps you can take comfort from the fact that she died in your wife's
arms rather than you coming home to find her already gone - or worse still,
that she was out (if she was not an indoor cat) and had not come home at
all. Whilst sudden and a shock to you - her death was possibly one of the
kindest ways to go and I doubt she would have suffered at all.
You can mourn her knowing she was loved and knowing that she knew she was
loved.
My thoughts are with you.
