I had occasion to take a few pictures of some of my cats dealing with
a mouse this evening - I put three of them in a short essay:

The pictures are not all that good (by my standards): long range, low
light (slow shutter speed), failing light.  They'll do though.

One picture caught Mudpie in mid pounce.

I am sure that it is safe to say that the poor mouse didn't have a
chance. Nice looking cats Ted.

I don't know - that was a determined mouse and the cats weren't
hungry.

Good looking cats, the gray (if they are gray) and white ones have the
markings of one of mine. Do they work together to get a kill?

Dandy is red tabby, Tigger is (nominally) brown tabby, Avery and
Mudpie are black and white, though Mudpie passes for black.  The feral
is black and white.  I don't think I have a good picture of Avery as
an adult, but
<http://gearbox.maem.umr.edu/tdavis/cats/avery.1.600x400.jpg> is a
kitten picture that shows his head markings well, but the side
markings not well at all.

I've seen Avery and Mudpie (brothers), and Dandy and Maryweather
(brother/sister) actually work together, and several cases where an
older cat works closely with a kitten in training.  Otherwise, several
may hunt the same mouse, but there seems to be little or no actual
cooperation.

You can see the one I'm talking about at
http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/stoneman72/my_photos Emily.

My two will work together and even call me out to go hunting, guess they
realize that I kick up prey.

She appears to be dark gray and white - I don't have any like that,
except that Fluffy is more sark gray and white at the front and more
black and white at the back - still nothing like Emily.

Bigger feet make more noise, and even shake the ground.
