Hi, I've been looking on the net for a simple screen toy for a kitten I've
just been given. It loves chasing the cursor on the screen, all the time
sitting on my keyboard and occasionally turning the thing off (damn power
key!). Just wondering if anyones come across a screensaver or program which
has like a cursor or something moving around like a moth or so for the
kitten to amuse itself.
Thanks for any insights ;)

What operating system?

Most modern operating systems come with a collection of screen savers,
and at least one of them should be some kind of object moving around
the screen, though it may be necessary to configure it to use only
one.  Recent versions of Windows have one  called "3D Flying Objects"
that consists of a single Microsoft logo moving around (assuming you
can stomach that).  "3D Flower Box" might be better - those are just
the first couple in the list.

OS=XP. Thanks for the suggestions, I tried a few of the default XP savers
but I'm looking for something a little less linear and more erratic - just
as a cursor is. The Starfield with a few tweaks seems to be fun for it so I
might have to stick with that until it becomes old hat.

I used to have "Felix" the cat on my computer. It's a tuxedo cat that moves
about the screen, into a cat flap, out again, eating etc.
It was quite amusing. Do a google search. I have it on a disk somewhere but
I don't think it's possible to send it, too big.

Beware of downloaded screen savers: many of them are hosts for
adware/spyware.  Some even carry viruses and worms, but those are
distributed mostly as attachments to e-mail or (as) usenet messages.
