As everyone knows I had Pheniox fixed about 21/2
weeks ago maybe not that long. I am willing to bet
any amount of money that my little lady is in heat.
She is whinning, crying, putting her but in the air,
demanding at the door etc. I thought all of this
would stop once she was fixed. Is it possible they
forgot to take everything out. She is driving me nuts,
she is carring on more now than she ever did.
Sasha and Isabella look at her like she is crazy and me I
think she has or is driving me crazy.
linda varney - 01 Feb 2005 13:55 GMT
give her another week or so its just her hormones over acting and she gets
a lot of attention.linda.

That would be my guess too. Though my cat just laid there for 2 days glaring
at me with a pissed off look.

Holly, disregard Megan's and Sherry's spelling comments that have nothing to
do with cats, and they areNOT the opinion of the majority. Most people have
no problem with foreigners/other races/other sexual preferences! But some,
unfortunately seem to be just plain bullies, so simply ignore them, and
don't fall for their whinges and verbal diarhea. If they are bothered about
spelling, let them go to a spelling forum! Your English is excellent,so
don't you stress about their  nonsense :) Just enjoy your kitties and
educational posts here.

In thisparticular case, I am not personally sure what it could be,probably
best contact the vet.He may have an idea. She could be having a false
heat(similar to some animals having false pregnancies) for some reason. Is
her behaviour matching the heat as in offering herself to every living
thing? This seem to be traditional for heat.

That's exactly what I think. This whole thread is so stupid!
Holly has said that she's not so good at writing in her very first post,
that is to be respected.
Good that it does not keep her from writing!

About punctuation: Yes, it helps, and the caps key helps too, and the
apostrophe in words like can't as well!

I agree wholeheartedly.  This entire thread has gotten stupid.
Calling each other derogatory names doesn't help a bit, and ends up
getting the name-callers killfiled.  I personally am going to filter
this subject after this post so I don't have to read any more of the
back-biting, derogatory posts in it.  Thank goodness for Agent that
allows me to do this.

Yeah, I killfiled Sherry earlier this evening, I had enough of her ish and
she has now joined Mary and Bob brenchley on killfile bench :) The problem
is that I honestly didnt think she was a troll, but now I can see I was
sooooo wrong! Otherwise I'd never feed her! :) Aah, fresh air is flowing
again :)

And yeah, I agree with remark to Holly completely, you have done nothing
wrong. If anything you have shown your love for cats on countless occasions
and I respect you for it. Beware people who are nasty to others, they will
never hesitate to stub you in the back as well.

No. YOu are right, you didnt abuse Holly. You ABUSED Linda!

Well done. You noticed that, but you can;t notice your own abusive and
unacceptable behaviour. Your mother must be so SO proud of you.

And no I didnt make an accusation, I statedthe obvious: you WERE highly
abusive. I just made a mistake in persons name as toWHO you were abusing.

Yes she is offering herself to everything. I did call the vet, he said to
wait and see if she does it again. If so bring her back that he may have
missed alittle ovarian tissue if that is the case then he will go in and
remove it for no charge. You cant beat that.

It would be sad for Pheniox to have to go through another surgery, but it
sounds like exactly what Megan said.

Holly - 02 Feb 2005 15:52 GMT
I hate for her to have to be cut again to, she has already had such a hard
life.
Sherry if I may ask you a question?
You do alot of animal rescue from what I have read of you post how do you
bring yourself to finally give them to new homes. I feel so bad when i see
the homeless animals here and I bring as many home as i can but when the
house gets to full I have to let some go, but deciding were they go is
hard. I develop a attachment to them right off and then find myself worried
sick most times about if they are okay. I have also be officially placed on
shelter restriction because when I go I want to bring them all home. I
quess my question is if some one wanted to be a foster meowmie how whould
one do that? And then any advise on letting them go?

This is incorrect. If the cat is exhibiting signs of heat, the most
likely answer is that some ovarian tissue was left behind. The vet
should be contacted ASAP. A second surgery will have to be done (and
should be done at no charge since it is vet error) to correct the
problem if that is what it is.

Also, have you ever heard of capitalization and punctuation? I'm seeing
a glut of very ill informed posts from you and they are even more
excruciating to read.

Well, if you find reading them to have such an exacerbating effect on your
physical well being, feel free not to read them. There are people here from
all walks of and stations in life from all over the world. A bit of cultural
tolerance would be in order. If anyone is out of line it's is you Megan.

No, she's not. Punctuation isn't a cultural issue. I"d wager a guess that
English is the poster's first language anyway; if I'm wrong I'll apologize.
The posts are difficult to read. If an English-speaking poster can't find the
caps key, do they really need to be posting at all?

Well, yes it is a cultural issue. I have great admiration for those who
take the time to learn and use a second language. They aren't always
going to get it right. I also have great admiration for the blind and
handicapped that find it difficult to use a keyboard at all. You'd
venture a guess eh? Well, if you had been reading this posters messages
you would have read her reply to this very question. You venture wrong.
Yes they should be posting, even if they do not always hit the caps key.
They do need to feel free to speak up. I also have great admiration for
the well educated and the uneducated. Actually, the word, "uneducated"
is a misnomer. If a person is 50 years old then it could be said that
they have 50 yrs of education. What they do not have is a higher level
of formal schooling. As far as caps go, there are those with handicaps
that use all caps and those who use none. There are also English
speaking cultures that spell words differently and certain letters like
"I" are not capped when referring to ones self. I find that such a
trivial complaint as you and Megan lodge to be out of line. My opinion
of your complaint is that it shows a narrow minded view of society as a
whole and an underlying intolerance and ignorance. Those are the basic
building blocks which lay the foundation for bigotry. Your cat(s) are
more capable in this area than the two of you.

Holly,
There is some confusion here. I was not referring to you, and neither was
Megan. The poster in question is Linda, who suggested that you just "wait" and
that there was nothing wrong with Pheniox except "hormones." Megan is very
knowledgeable about health issues, and she was (first) correcting what was
erroneous advice and (second) suggesting that Linda's posts are difficult to
read.
I don't see the big deal, personally. If someone wants their posts to be
comprehended accurately, the caps key isn't that hard to learn for anyone.
It's up to you, but Gee's advice for you to killfile Megan is pretty stupid,
since Megan is one of the few people here who *does* have accurate information
re: health issues.

Sherry,
Sorry I do not have a newsreader at work and that is were I post at, I was
not offended though. I am use to being told that I do not belong ceritan
places because I am a foreign. I really looking for people to share my
kitty stories with and chit chat with. My only family is my hubby and my
son (who is in Iraq now) and of course my kitties and dog. My only friend
passed a few years ago so I have become some what of a hermit. I know I
post a lot of what others refer to as "crazy stuff" but I have so many
stories I want to share.

Actually, I had no idea you weren't American. Your English is quite good for
only three years. It also sheds more light on the cat-pregnancy issue. I don't
know where you live, but I'd almost bet that you don't have the population
crisis that we have in the US. And if you saw the killing first-hand that we
have in the US, you'd understand more why I go off so half-cocked when anybody
even says, "my cat is pregnant." It's almost knee-jerk.
Where do you live?

Sherry

And you are still bangin on about it? OMG. You dont listen and you dont

> It's up to you, but Gee's advice for you to killfile Megan is pretty stupid,

Stupid? No. What WAS stupid is you and Megan making abusive comments towards
foreigners and advising people who do not speak and write a perfect Oxford
English on an INTERNET NEWSGROUP to NEVER post here! Now THAT was stupid,
and that DOES deserve a killfile in my and many other people's book. I do
not take kindly to any kind of discrimination, racial, or otherwise! If I
understood correctly you work in a shelter? Do you also ban foreign people
from owning cats cos they cant spell perfectly and that is HIGHLY
unacceptable to you! It would NOT surprise me. In fact, I am sure your
bosses would LOVE to hea about your attitude towards other people! <sigh>

USENET belongs to ALL Sherry and Megan! Despite your twisted belief!

> since Megan is one of the few people here who *does* have accurate information

MANY here have accurate information. So killfiling one abusive person is not
going to make any difference.

How can you expect to be taken seriously next time, after what you just did?
Geez! Apologise, then maybe someone will listen to you again.Otherwise take

Thanks for the name calling. It certainly goes in your defence when you
state that you are 'NOT abusive'.....AS IF! Ha ha ha ha.

Well since you are so blind so that you can;t see what you said for
yourself; here it is, from your post in THIS thread:

Megan: "Also, have you ever heard of capitalization and punctuation? I'm
seeing
a glut of very ill informed posts from you and they are even more
excruciating to read."

Sherry: "Punctuation isn't a cultural issue. I"d wager a guess that
English is the poster's first language anyway; if I'm wrong I'll apologize.
The posts are difficult to read. If an English-speaking poster can't find
the
caps key, do they really need to be posting at all?"

The above comments are abusive to ANY person not writing English perfectly.
If you can;t see that you were out of line, then we have nothing further to
discuss. I have said my piece, but you are of course entitled to keep up
your abusive attitude. So your choice. My choice is then to killfile you and
let you join Mary , or not. And so will others choose the same.

As for the continuation of your abusiveness you have also said, and I QUOTE:

"Gee's advice ......is pretty stupid"
"I've seen some morons but girlie, you take the prize"
"The posts are difficult to read. "
"If an English-speaking poster can't find the caps key, do they really need
to be posting at all?"

And that is just from this thread alone.Appalling. You should be ashamed.

No, the above comments are aimed toward those who are too lazy to use a caps
key. It has nothing whatsoever to do with the ability to write English. I was
under the assumption that a person who has learned to read and write English,
or any other language, has the ability to press the little finger down while
simultaneously typing the first letter of a sentence. Silly me. I"ve been able
to do it for years, and perhaps I expect too much.

Well we didn't see the apology; perhaps it was a personal e-mail?

Sherry you and Megan still owe a HUGE apology to Linda, and the more public
one the better.

Well, I can't speak for Megan, but I'll be most happy to apologize to Linda. As
soon as she stops handing out detrimental advice and finds her caps key.

No they don't. Linda needs to stop posting like a moron. They were
doing her a favor to tell her.

intolerance towards foreigners! There is a name for people like you! Your
comment is despicable and no different to a racial, sexist or any other
abusive type comment. In fact one more remark like this to anybody and you
will be killfiled, and not just by me!!!!!!! You have been warned!

Geez!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Some people really make me sick! Yes Megan YOU!
