Maybe it's just the kitten plays alot, or has a really high motabilism.
Then again, it could be that somewhere in the blood lines, there is a
breed of cat that is naturally slender.
Personally, I thought that the kitten looked quite content. Nice little
fellow you have there Justin. I also noticed that you consider
everything belongs to your kitten. Welcome to the world of cats. LOL

Yea I am not sure why he looks so thin in those pictures, maybe the lighting
or angle or something.

He is definitely very active though.

Thanks. He kind of took that table over. I used to be able to have things on
it, now everything just ends up on the floor.

I still get to sit in my chair though.

He just looks like personality plus! A real heart stealer!

Sure do! He is 4 months old, and weighed 5.7 lbs. at the vet today. The vet
didn't yell at me or anything, so I assume this is about normal.

Elwood is a complete doll! I love pics 7, 9, and 11--and
to answer your question, yes, he sure does have tabby stripes underlying his
black color. He is obviously Mrr. Personality Plus!

Thanks, and he is quite the character.

I noticed those stripes when I was taking all of the pictures the other day.
Do you think they will be more noticeable when he gets older?

I'm not sure but I will be interested to know. Please keep those
pictures coming!

Our black and white cat shows lots of brown in sunlight,
and my gray tabby is also showing lots of brown right now.
I am not sure if I have ever seen the kind of subtle tabby
stripes young Elwood has.

and my black fuzzball shows red in certain sunlight.  he is a cat of a
different color for sure.  pure black as a baby until the 1st time i had him
shaved (he's a himalayan/persian mix with knotty problems), then it came
back in still mostly black but with a good deal of gray. interesting how
many colors this guy goes thru.

Oh God, he is adorable! And he is a picture of my Lil One!  You are not in
London by any chance, they got to be cousins! :) Same facial
expressions(that definitely have some Siamese in it), same funny looks, big
eyes and lean body with silky furr!  :) Amazing!

And in response to other people's replies re his weight: he is 4 months old,
so his weight is purrrfect for this age! He is still growing - in every
direction. Saying that, my Lil One is at least 1.5 yrs old, and still looks
like 4 months old, although he eats like a pig! :) Its just his heritage I
suppose :) My Lil One definitely has some Siamese in blood lines, as he has
taller back legs then front, so walks like ballerina, is very vocal and has
a bit of a triangular shaped face.

As for stripes,  they tend to darken with time, so you don;t notice them as
much when they are fully grown. My Shadow had proper-visible stripes when
younger, now she's is jet black. Lil One and Tigger who look like your
Elwood(Elwood is it?) have had stripes but you don;t notice them now til
they are in direct sunlight.

Finally he looks great against turquoise leather furniture (RIP furniture
:)) Jus kiddin, but make sure you do get him couple of scratching posts and
put it next to chosen sofa/chair for scratching, or else! :)

Enjoy him. He will make you smile more then any human!
