Cat Abuse Call to Action -- WARNING -- horrible

Before you read this, know that it contains very upsetting, horrible
information about cat abuse.  If you can stand it, read it, and send letters
to the company that hired these subhumans demanding that they be fired, or
whatever else you can think of to do.  I think they shoud get what they
gave, but that's just my opinion.

(12/30/03 - Atlantic City) ? Two cable television workers are suspended due
to charges they dragged a cat to death. Robert Hewitt Junior and Joseph
Newton face animal-cruelty charges for allegedly tying a cat to the bumper
of their company truck and dragging it along the road at a high rate of
speed. An Atlantic City police sergeant was on his way to work when he saw
the cat being dragged behind the truck in Absecon a week ago. Another Ocean
Cable Group truck followed it.

The sergeant alerted authorities, who stopped the trucks. Hewitt, who was
driving the lead truck, also is charged with inhumane treatment of an
animal. Hewitt's and Newton's boss says they'll be fired if they're
convicted.

That is so cruel and sad.  It makes me ashamed to be human when you hear
what some people do to animals and each other.

Where on this link is this story?  The only thing remotely related to
animals is the score of the hockey game.

If this is related to the link the first question I would
have to ask is are these people employees of
the cable system (Ocean?) or are they citizens that
were granted access to the facilities  through the Local Access
provisions of the cable licensing?

Around here there was a problem with cable programmig and
it turned out the cable operator could do nothing to stop
the program because it was aired through community
access provisions.

Also if these people work for the cable system were they
on work time or on their own time?

BTW, if you go to archives you'll find the article under Tuesday Dec.
30th.

No, of course it isn't.  I just included a story that has absolutely nothing
to do with the link or what I put in the subject line.  Jaysus!  What do you
think?  This is what I found at the link -- duh.

I don't see why a non-employee citizen would have access to a company TRUCK.
To a cable channel -- yes.  To a company truck -- no.  They are obviously
employees.  That's also why the article mentions that the  company might
fire them.  If they weren't employees, they couldn't do that -- I guess I
need to explain that to you.

So?

Again -- company truck.  If you are in the company truck, I would assume you
are on company time.

That's the date I included in the OP.

As I said the link didn't work.  You wouldn't be the first one to put
an article in your post that absolutely nothing to do with the link.

Here is a clue: around here law requires cable opertors to provide
air time/equipment/facilities to people who want to provide
programming under "community access." Around here that includes
access to cable cameras, sound equipment, vehicles, etc.

>Again -- company truck.  If you are in the company truck, I would assume you
>are on company time.
Not necessarily.  Around it could mean someone lives in the community,
not necessarily that they work for cable.

I can't imagine why I or anyone would do that -- especially when the topic
of the article was clearly stated in the subject line.  Common sense should
have told you that the article in my post was all about what I described in
the subject line.

Well, did this confuse you?  <The sergeant alerted authorities, who stopped
the trucks. Hewitt, who was
driving the lead truck, also is charged with inhumane treatment of an

convicted.>>

It seems clear to me that the boss who will fire them is the cable company.
They killed that cat with company property on company time, making the
company look really bad.  If they just had a local cable access show and
worked at Burger King, why on earth would their BK boss threaten to fire
them for killing a cat on their own free time?  Why would their boss even be
mentioned or consulted for the article unless the boss had some connection
to the crime?  These people clearly work for the cable company, and they
involved the company in their crime.  I can't believe you need this
explained.  The people who did this should suffer horribly for their crime.
You need to learn how to think.

Just because he was driving the truck doesn't mean he worked for
cable.  Under community access provisions in the law the
driver may be a citizen in that town/city.

Go read up on community access programming on cable systems.

I've been on usenet a long time -- long enough to have seen your name many
times before.  You should know by now that I am not a troll.

Well, how else could they be fired by the cable company if they didn't work
for the cable company?

I am not assuming the men worked for the cable company merely because they
drove the truck.  I am assuming they worked for the cable company because
their boss threatened to fire them if they were found guilty.  The inclusion
of that fact in this article indicates that they are employees of the cable
company -- how else could the cable company fire them?

Where did you see they were fired?  All the news accounts I saw said
nothing about them being fired.

And firing them doesn't necessarily mean they were paid by
the cable system, they could have been through Community
Access.

Nick, I really hope this makes it crystal clear to you that these men were
employees of the company.

<<Ocean Cable Group owner Bob Mills said Monday that he suspended Hewitt and
Newton from their jobs and will fire them if they're found guilty of the
offenses.>>

Since this was dated 12/30/03 and today is 12/31/03 you have to go to
news archives.  It is the 4th story down.

Thats being too polite. Dead or not these two stupid pieces of sh.t need
to be terminated IMMEDIATELY! In my book, people who do things like this
are lower than child molesters.

I agree.
Why do some ph*ck-ups loathe felines so intensely ?
It has to be that they're simply too dumb to accept that cats are not
servile, coercible or dumb.
These psychologies seriously annoy me - they're just dumb, uncool spastics.
Shoot, if I got my hands on them - they'd get to understand what pain really
is.
Can't we get a DSM-VII classification for animal cruelty as a pathological
psychiatric disorder and lock these arseholes up for substantial periods of
their worthless lives ?
Stop me if I'm worrying you.
Heh.
The motherf..kers need to die - slow and painful.
Hehe.
