Our vet advised that we start giving some potassium to our 17 year old,
female cat whom we've been treating for CRF over the last four years.
She's been losing weight again and she thought this might help even
though serum potassium was 5.3.  She gave us some RenaKare powder which
our kitty won't look at.  I found some small capsules of TwinLabs
potassium, 99mg. each, but they are made up of potassium citrate and
potassium aspartate.  I understand the citrate won't hurt, may be even
helps the acidosis, but can anyone tell me if the aspartate is okay.
Thanks very much.
