My wife and love are two cats but one unparticular is so sweet. At night
he climbs up on the bed and he puts his paws our cheeks and sometime licks
our nose or he will close his claws to get out attention when he wants
something, but never hurting us. My problem is I have RA in my feet and he
tries to nip at them and won't let walk any where. He's as happy as can be
and purrs all the time. How do I stop him from nipping at my toes because
it hurts allot. Our cats are spoiled he lays on his back when I pet his
stomach. One drinks water if we put a little water in the tub and then
when he has enough then lets the other cat drink until finished only he
likes the faucet dripping, sometime he places his paws up and lick the water
running down from his paw and sometimes he drink it as the water drips. they
are like kids one has to be different than the other. Their also very funny

Within our five cats, we have two that act like the one you mention ...both
are Somalis. One or the other will try to block my way out of the bedroom
by running on my feet and to nibble at the toes, never to hurt. As for
water, it is only our two Somalis that will play at the faucet exactly as
you described. They are at our coffee bar sink every time I make a
cappuccino or to do anything else in that area and will let it be known of
wanting the water turned on. Our other cats has never done this ...why just
our Somalis?
