My cat just did something very weird. He was in the litter box, then tore
out of it like something was chasing him. He ran into the living room, and
dragged his little butt in a funny, staggering motion on the floor for a few
inches, where he deposited a firm stool. Then he was absolutely fine.
Acted completely normal. Why would he do this? A few months ago he was
constipated and pretty sick. I brought him to the vet then. What should I
do now? As I said, he seems fine. He is grooming himself right now.

Don't worry about it. He just had something stuck to his hiney and was
scraping it off. So, yeah, he was being chased, by a turd...

Sounds like he may be a little constipated again. I would give him some
laxatone for hairballs. If that doesn't work, I'd put a half a tsp of olive oil
on his food. Make sure he's drinking plenty of water. Some cats just need to
have laxatone or oil all the time. Exercise also helps.

Something else that helps a constipated cat; give him a couple of
tablespoons of tuna that is in vegetable oil. I use this remedy for my cat,
and he would never guess that when he gets this treat, that he is also being
"medicated".
