I have never heard let alone seen any cats throughout my entire life as
trusting as my cat - 'Phoebe'.
If she is up on the roof and wants to come down, instead of getting down
herself, I get the oval shaped laundry basket and hold it up as far as I can
in the air with both hands, and she jumps straight in ;-)
Isn't that so trusting? I was also told that if a cat let's you pet their
stomach that is also a high level of trusting ;-)

The best comment on belly rubbing I think I have ever seen was
Thursday's "Rose is Rose" comic strip:

- it is *so* true to life.

I'm going to piggy back here since I didn't see the OP. My cat
Nermal was the same. She would get on the roof and then
to get down we had to give her an elevator. A box, basket..
whatever. It's nice you consider that being trusting...I thought
she was lazy. :-)

Yeah, well I never of it that way to be honest ;-) However, not many cats
would do this you know. lol

I had a barn cat who got stuck up in the hay loft once. I reached up to let
it jump into my hands, but it decided that it would be safer to jump onto
the back of one of the horses. The horse didn't like it, bucked and the cat
went flying. Luckily it landed on some bales of hay and was ok, but it
never went up into the loft again. Should have trusted me more and the
horse less!

I had a cat that was so trusting, you could hold him on his back, raise him
up high, and drop your hands almost to the floor. (Basically, he'd be in
free-fall.) He wouldn't try to turn over or move -- just lay there and
wait for the next ride. Most cats would (I think) instinctively try to
turn upright and prepare to land. He was extremeley trusting!
I could also make him walk on the ceiling...hold him upside down and put his
feet to the ceiling...he'd start walking! Very funny!
Probably the most loving cat we've ever had.

This gives me "Red eye".
I just posted a tribute to my cat Biggles on the family web site.
www.1cooperfamily.com
He trusted me implicitly, could've carried him anywhere.

Biggles is absolutely beautiful. It is sad that Biggles died only recently.
You must really miss Biggles alot.

Thank you V.a.,
I do miss him and still have a hard time when I look at the pictures on
the web site.
I am posting pictures of our new kittens as I visit them at the breeder.
My family and I are excited about the little furfaces but my heart is
with Biggles.
Thanks again for your sentiment.
