How do you get rid of them?
I have been at the vet three times, used two bottles of ear drops 1-2 times
a day, the cat has got 3 stronghold treatments so far, and the ear mites are
still there :-(

Keep at it, but it's not easy. One of my cats was a stray who wandered
in. She had ear mites, and the vet prescribed drops. The cat fought the
treatments, I couldn't get rid of the mites either. So, when I took in
the cat to be spayed, I asked the vet tech to clean out the cat's ears
when she was unconscious. She did, and that did the trick.

Ten minutes in the nucrowave on high.  Carousel type work best as
Tabby will enjoy the ride.

You're obviously not applying the drops properly.
Don't be frightened of being "firm" whilst handling your cat and make sure
the
dropper goes in properly.
Give a good rub at the base of the ear  and then stand back whilst puss
shakes it's head and the
lumps go flying.
Luckily they stick to walls, so are easy to remove.
