anyone know any way to keep the peace between the two?
help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
we have a 14 week old female puppy   and a 5 yr old male cat  and they cant
seem to get along

The cat will teach the puppy to calm down and realize she won't
get scratched if she leaves the cat alone.

Not long ago someone posted here and suggested to make pet pals experience a
good time when together like stroking them and feeding them treats.
It certainly works for my cat and dog. I always feed both of them at the
same time so that none feels left out.
I have also learned to accept some hostility as long as it is not harmful to
either of the two. They have personalities too. I don't punish the dog when
it snaps (it never bites) and accept it when the cat is full of beans and
jumps at the dog. And they seem to be able to sort things out between
themselves. Actually I think that they are fond of each other.
