Hey,

I got 2 little kittens the other day at about 8 weeks old. Anyway, they
won't stop licking me! The just run up to me and start licking my face
and mainly my fingers. What does this mean? I've had many cats before and
none have been like this - infact none of them licked me except for these
2. They're both from the same litter, and both female. . . any ideas?
When you put your hand out to pat them they turn around and starting
picking me. I've only ever had male cats, so is this a female cat thing?

They want you to quickly rush down to the music store and get
"40 licks" by the Rolling Stones....

My cats do that too, I'm not sure why they do it.  Maybe they need
salt?  Maybe they are showing affection for you?

My new cat-boy does that to me. He'll be on the back of the chair I'm
sitting in and then he'll start licking my hair, just like he was
cleaning himself. The other day he did a pretty good job slicking down
my cowlick.

When cats live with other cats they do this to each other all the
time. It's just grooming. If your cat grooms you, he just thinks
you're a cat. A very large, mostly hairless cat, but still part of his
cat family.

With my kitten, I like to kiss his check, it's so soft and he loves
it.  But then he will turn towards me and tries to bite my nose.  He
knows what "No" means and I now catch him before he is going to do it.
Does anyone know why cats would do this?

Thanks,
Debbie

when he started to bite too hard when playing as a kitten  we would all
shout LICK and now he still does even when not biting/playing
