My new cat-boy does that to me. He'll be on the back of the chair I'm
sitting in and then he'll start licking my hair, just like he was
cleaning himself. The other day he did a pretty good job slicking down
my cowlick.
When cats live with other cats they do this to each other all the
time. It's just grooming. If your cat grooms you, he just thinks
you're a cat. A very large, mostly hairless cat, but still part of his
cat family.

With my kitten, I like to kiss his check, it's so soft and he loves
it. But then he will turn towards me and tries to bite my nose. He
knows what "No" means and I now catch him before he is going to do it.
Does anyone know why cats would do this?
Thanks,
Debbie

Hi we have four boy cats and only one licks to order! well really it was
when he started to bite too hard when playing as a kitten we would all
shout LICK and now he still does even when not biting/playing
