Hi,
Can any body tell me how I can prevent my neighbour's cats pooing in my
front garden, they always do it at the same place. I am so sick of it,
though I am an animal lover.

Is there any way you can rig up a sprinkler on an intermittent timer? Cats
*really* hate to be sprayed with water. Maybe negative reinforcement would
cause them to move on to another spot. Good luck.

Sherry,
Thanks for your suggestion.
Is there such a thing that you can spray on the soil or a high pitch gadget
which can scare the cat ?

I know there are such things on the market, but I've never used them so I can't
really recommend anything. There *is* a website that lists various cat
deterrents, motion-activated sprinklers, electronic gadgets, etc. But, warning,
it's a pretty offensive site for cat lovers, and it's UK based, so I don't know
if you could find them here. So, here's the link, and you can browse at your
own risk...what I looked at seemed relatively humane methods. I thought the
plant that's supposed to deter cats was interesting.

Rake a few inches of loose soil to the side. Lay chicken wire flat on
the ground. Use metal U-shaped stakes to secure it. Rake the loose
topsoil or mulch over the chicken wire. To plant, cut holes in the
chicken wire, enlarging the holes as plants grow.
Cats don't like to get their claws stuck in the wire when they dig.
They will soon find another spot more to their liking.

Phone the zoo, get some tiger dung, spread it around the garden. No cat will
dare venture into your garden.

You are quite the dung expert.

No where do I see where Kin Shum has tried to communicate with the neighbor
about the problem ...that should be the FIRST step. Other than that, the
only suggestion I would give is to purchase animal deterrent (powder or
spray) from a local pet store for that purpose. I am not a dung expert but
do know the 'tiger dung' thing is on the list of being just an urban legend.
