I was volunteering with EARS Emergency Animal Rescue Services. People who had
animals displaced because of the California fires came to these makeshift
animal shelters. This one is in San Bernardino at an airforce base hangar.  We
gave the animals kennels, crates, a few walks a day, play time, toys, treats,
food, water, free microchipping, free vaccinations and free animal tags. People
could keep their animals here until they found a place to stay or could go back
to their homes. There are over 400 dogs and tons of kitties too besides pets of
all types. I donated some cages and carriers then went and helped assemble
kennels, crates and walked the dogs. I took some pics yesterday.

God bless you!
Thanks for sharing the pics too.  What an amazing undertaking.

Heading to bed and will look at pics tomorrow, but I wanted to say.. bless
you guys and the rescue group for taking them in when the human shelters
don't have provisions for pets.  I've been scared for them in this last
week.

Thanks for the pics. EARS volunteers came to our community in the aftermath of
a bad tornado four years ago. I had never heard of them before that. They did a
stellar job.
