Ever since my old cat died (age 19, March 12, 2001) I have been
experiencing an occasional mouse problem. Well, they're back. However,
I suspect not for long. They've taken up residence in the kitchen
stove. Old George has parked himself in front of it, intently staring.
From time to time he goes up and fishes under it a bit with a paw.
Then he walks back and forth, sniffing at the base.

Looks like I've got a new mouser. :)

Update:

Last night I heard a commotion in the kitchen. I got up and went to
see what Old George was up to. He was sitting in the middle of the
floor with a mouse in his mouth. Then he proceeded to eat it, blood,
guts, tail and all. Eww, yuck! Nice kitty! Eww, yuck! Good boy!

One less mouse.

Unfortunately, a couple hours later he hurled it all up in a big brown
puddle on the kitchen floor. Double yuck!

You should ask the vet for Revolution or some pills because if he eats
mice like that, he's been eating small animals all along and probably
has worms.  Of course, you may already be aware of this and if so,
please disregard this free advice.

Congratulations on adopting Old George!

I've already used Revolution on him, although it's probably time for
another treatment. Thanks for reminding me of that.

As for worms, if he had anything big I'm sure I'd have seen it by now.
God knows I've cleaned up enough of his poop.
