Hi everyone,

In regards to animals having their yearly vaccinations, I was wondering if
anyone has heard of vaccinosis and what are their views on it.  For those of
you who have not heard about it - it seems to be quite a controversial
issue.  What to believe?

Afyter having both of my dogs nearly die from vaccines (at different
times) I approach them quite differently than I used to.  I now
vaccinate my animals only for rabies, since the cats don't go outside
and the dogs do not have frequent contact with other dogs.  I advocate
only vaccinating for what is absolutely necessary.

I'm starting to be concerned about vaccinations as well, especially since
my cats are getting older now.  I did go ahead with all of them this year
because we just adopted another stray, but I think in the future I'll cut
back to every other year if that.  There seem to be alot of differing
opinions on the subject, even among vets.  Two of my cats did become ill
after rabies shots, but not violently.
