For those of you who thought you were going to read
about some cool tricks to play on your cat...sorry to
disappoint. In my house it seems to be the other way
around. Sasha has taken up playing mind games
with me.
Her favorite seems to be invisible mouse. I think
she knows how freaked I get over the idea of mice
lurking in corners and thinks this new game is great.
She crouches in front of the refrigerator and stares
intently under it or crouches in the corner pretending
there is something behind the TV. Of course this sends
me running for a flashlight and checking dark corners
upon which she calmly saunters away....and I think I
heard her snicker.
Another game is "follow me". She runs up to me
meowing, lays her paws on my leg or stands up with
her front legs on my lap until I move to see what she
wants. She runs down the hall..not towards any
particular room and when I get there she is calmly
sitting in the middle of the room grooming (and
I think snickering under her breath).
Her latest and by far her most devious is hiding behind
the toilet in the master bath. It's kind of in a corner so I
don't see her back there..until something furry brushes
against my leg at a rather inconvenient moment. BRAT!
I think she needs a day job. She obviously has way too
much time on her hands.

:-) How old is she? Isn't it fun to have such a cat?
Our Tom comes from a farm, and although we got him young he behaves like a
proper barn cat.
No games unless it's a living mouse. No cuddles unless it's in the middle of
the night in order to get some wet food.
And he's outside in almost every weather. Wonder did his mom teach him that
or is it in his genes?
But then I have to say another barn cat that I got for a friend turned into
a most affectionate house cat.
