The cat we have bit the caretaker yesterday when she tried to pick him up. He
is usually very docile and sweet. He was limping yesterday, and this morning,
but then started walking on 3 legs refusing to put weight on his foreleg. He is
eating, and has been sleeping most of the day although he really wanted to go
out this morning. We wouldn't let him. One of his shoulders seems to higher but
I think it was even when he had his weight on all his paws. If it were
dislocated I don't think he would have been able to walk on it yesterday when
he started limping. His limp grew steadily worse, and now he's on three legs.
Should we bring him to the vet or wait and see another day? Any ideas of what
we can do to make him more comfortable? Can you use a heating pad on a cat?
Thanks!

I would bring the cat to the vet pronto.

Maybe the caretaker took offense and let the cat see the hard end of her
boot? :)
Seriously though, I hope its OK.
