Thanks for the advice, MaryL!  The pics are now available for viewing
- the Foof looks particularly vicious in hers.

Thanks.  Now I can see them, too.  Beautiful.

What beautiful kids you have!  That picture of Foof is great... though a bit
scary.  Was that the flash (i.e. red eye), or are her eyes always that
color?  : )

Well, I know that the flash had quite a bit to do with it, but the
flash was offset a bit and still caused that "healthy glow" in The
Foof's peepers.  Her eyes do regularly glow in even dim light, and it
can be disconcerting just to see the eyes in a dim room.

I found The Foof in October, 1995 as I was walking home from work
- as I approached my house, I saw several stray kittens gathered
around the side of my porch.  They scattered away as I approached, and
when I got within 3 meters of the porch, a small shape jumped out of a
hole in the trellis-work on the side.  It was The Foof, and unlike the
other kittens, she was absolutely fearless - she was also a purebred
Himalayan, though I cannot precisely define her points - they are
rather blotchy.  I thought that she might be a Ragdoll, but I have not
enough experience to make that judgement with confidence.

I will post more pictures of our (and other) beasties at
alt.binaries.pictures.animals in the near future, though I will be
horribly busy for the next few days, what with removing the alternator
from my car and possibly replacing it today, and dealing with
satellite TV installers tomorrow.  I have posted a few other animal
pics there, too - a marine snail pic and a snail/crab pic (little
beasties that my wife loves - we found them in the shallow water at
Cape Cod, Massachusetts this summer).

Okay, I'm done for now.
