I own 8 cats & 2 kittens & need a good litter to use for them. I have
heard Feline Pine is very good. Anyone here use it? Is it very expensive
& how often do you have to change the litter box? With the litter I use
now, I'm changing litter boxes every 3 days. Also, how do I get 2 very
stubborn kittens to use the litter boxes? I have placed them in the
litter boxes & they will jump out & potty on my carpet every time.
Thanks for your advice.

We've just switched over to Feline Pine, and so far, so good.

We have 8 cats and 4 litter boxes. It's been about a week and a day and
I haven't dumped a box yet! I will probably change a couple in the next
2 days. I do scoop the poop at least once a day. I can't believe it, but
I can't smell cat pee at all. The pellets turn into sawdust and fluffs
up quite a bit.

We had used Crown Bedding before (which is like Yesterday's News,) so it
was a similar composition. I mixed them about half and half the first
time, then went totally to FP with the next change. The bag says to do
the transition slower.

As far as the kitties go -- could you put a newspaper down where they
go, then tear off the wet part and put it in the litter box? Maybe they
need to know that that's the right place.

Good luck,

Rhonda

I have 2 cats.  One cat has a box with Feline Pine and the other has 2 with
newspapers. Neither cat will use the other's box(es).  I like Feline Pine
because it really does control the odors. I almost pass out or cry when I
change the box with newspapers. Tried to use litter with cat but he was hell
bent in getting the litter out of the box. Had no choice. The 7 lb bag (in NY)
costs $3.49-$3.99. The directions on the bag says it's a 4-week supply and that
you don't need to scoop out the dissolved sawdust residue. I do, scoop, though,
and use a bag 7-10 days. The other downside is that the pellets sometimes get
tracked outside the box (it's so much better than having dust all over. At
least i can pick up the pellets). I tried about 6 litters before this. 2nd cat
wouldn't use box until the Feline Pine was introduced.

Thanks. We are now using Feline Pine & the cats love it! I have no odors
except when they poop.
